Fra hospital til universitet

Da Københavns Kommunehospital blev opført i 1863, var det byens største bygning og landets mest moderne hospital. Det lukkede i 1999 og genopstod i 2005 som Center for Sundhed og Samfund. Arkitekturfotograf Jens Markus Lindhe, designhistoriker Birgit Lyngbye Pedersen og arkitekturredaktør ved Politiken Karsten R.S. Ifversen fortæller om bygningens og hospitalets historie og tager læseren med på en billedvandring i den nye universitetscampus.

At its inauguration in 1863, the Municipal Hospital of Copenhagen was the most modern hospital in Denmark. It was closed in 1999 and reemerged in 2005 as the Centre for Health and Society.
