The Nordic Window – Window Behaviorology in Nordic Architecture

In this meticulous study of window designs in Sweden, Finland, and Denmark, Yoshiharu Tsukamoto Lab. shows how architects like Lewerentz, Aalto, and Jacobsen created new window typologies by incorporating the groundbreaking production technologies that emerged in the 20th century, and by learning from behaviors and traditions specific to these three Nordic countries.

Yoshiharu Tsukamoto is one of the founding member of the acclaimed Japanese architecture studio Atelier Bow-Wow and a lecturer at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Together with his studio, he has previous published the books ‘Pet Architecture Guide Book’ and ‘Made in Tokyo’.
